Read the passage and answer the following questions:
People in different regions of our country speak in different languages. Language helps us to develop relationship among people and cultures. In West Bengal people mostly speak Bengali. Most of us living in Bengal can speak and understand Bengali. English is another language which links different regions of our country. So, today learning English has become very important for us. In offices, major part of jobs are often is done in English. In, higher studies people, mostly consider English as the medium of learning. English is also important for communication at international level. So we must learn English as well as our mother language Bengali.
বাংলা মানে : আমাদের দেশের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলের মানুষেরা বিভিন্ন ভাষায় কথা বলে। ভাষাই মানুষ ও সংস্কৃতির মধ্যে সম্পর্ক বৃদ্ধি করতে সাহায্য করে। পশ্চিমবঙ্গে, বেশির ভাগ মানুষই বাংলায় কথা বলে। বাংলায় বাস করা বেশির ভাগই আমরা সবাই প্রায় বাংলা বলতে ও বুঝতে পারি। ইংরেজি হচ্ছে আরেকটি ভাষা যেটি আমাদের দেশের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলের মধ্যে সংযোগ স্থাপন করে। তাই, আজ ইংরেজি শেখা আমাদের জন্য খুবই জরুরি। অফিসগুলিতে, বেশির ভাগ কাজই ইংরেজিতেই হয়। উচ্চশিক্ষার ক্ষেত্রেও বেশির ভাগ মানুষই ইংরেজিকেই শেখার মাধ্যম হিসেবে বিবেচনা করে। আন্তর্জাতিক স্তরেও যোগাযোগের জন্য ইংরেজি প্রয়োজন। তাই আমাদের মাতৃভাষার পাশাপাশি ইংরেজি শেখাও জরুরি।
